cut by pit type saws were used in its construction.  Evidence of these indications are very visible in the attic which appears to have had little or no changes in over 200 years.  This certainly says something for the way buildings were constructed in the early days of our country.  Carolyn Keen, a local stores historian, believes that this store was originally built as a beautiful family home.
