She was preceded in death by her loving father, Junuis Herbert Jackson Sr.; mother, Sallie Ann Jackson; beloved sister, Cornell Teal; and brother, Junuis Herbert Jackson Jr. She attended Nansemond County Public Schools.
Beautis’ passion and delight was her family and friends, who were truly blessed by her presence. She enjoyed spending quality time with each of them.
Beautis leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Frederick Reid Sr.; four children, Frederick Reid Jr. (Chelle), Orlando (OJ) Reid, Sophronia Reid, and Thomas Reid II (Tangela), and Cynthia Reid; three sisters, Bonita Edwards (Wayne), Agatha Darden (Larry) and Ethel Whitfield-Moore; two brothers Jean Jackson (Joyce) and Jerome Jackson; one brother in-law, Willie Mack Teal; 12 grandkids, two great-grandkids, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 29, 2015, at Main Street Baptist Church in Smithfield. The Rev. Dr. James M. Harrison will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2015, at Pretlow and Chapman Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at 3 p.m. at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
