J.J. Kirk's warehouse is on the left of the boats. The warehouse was used for cotton seeds beginning in 1924. The picture was taken from the bridge. The Ocean Star was captained by John Martin of Eclipse. The Bertha May was another boat owned by Capt. John Martin, which loaded at Everets. The Eva W. was owned and operated by Eddie Wagner. The Mary Ann, sharp at both ends, was owned and operated by Ralph Saunders. The Mary Ann operated from about 1914 to 1925.
